What’s the difference between ritalin and adderall?

Adderall contains amphetamine type stimulants while Ritalin contains a stimulant that is not an amphetamine. Methylphenidate (ritalin) possesses some structural and pharmacological similarities to cocaine, though methylphenidate is less potent and longer in duration.

There are other brands: Concerta, Methylin, and Daytrana. Generic forms, including Methylin, Metadate and Attenta are produced by different pharmaceutical companies throughout the world.
